I'm also planning on putting some river rocks in there, which I think will be stable unlike bricks.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17636329568303734888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-306545998312576137.post-88849388172900306642012-11-25T13:13:48.697-05:002012-11-25T13:13:48.697-05:00Hi Peter! which method would you recommend for the...Hi Peter! which method would you recommend for the old ball float toilets to increase efficiency? I tried adjusting the water level, but the screw seems to be stuck? what do you think about a toilet tummy + dam? or should would toilet tummy + fill master be better? Or would fill master + dam be best? I have a Norris ball float toilet from 1977.

Thanks in advanced and great articleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-306545998312576137.post-57690067840326755782011-12-22T14:37:22.423-05:002011-12-22T14:37:22.423-05:00Found your article while searching for "toile...Found your article while searching for "toilet tank dam" and learned the "flow master" is what I really need. But we have put old spaghetti jars and glass drinks (Starbucks' shakes use glass) and fill those up. They have the added convenience of being heavy already and they definitely save water. We haven't ever had problems with them breaking and they're small enough footprint that they don't interfere with the mechanisms of the toilet. But I'm also going to try just adjusting the float level. I just got my first water bill in the house I am renting and was not overly surprised at the high water bill I just got, because I knew the toilet seems to take WAY too long to flush. The house was built in 1978 and I suspect the toilet was the one put in then, so the tank is huge. I adjusted the float like you mentioned and the toilet takes only just over half the time to flush now, so I'm looking forward to seeing if the sewage bill goes down.Sarahttp://suburbanoblivion.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-306545998312576137.post-57619275043728325222009-12-30T19:13:49.792-05:002009-12-30T19:13:49.792-05:00extremely informative!
